1. Introduction
Impulse Buy Pause: No Buy (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is designed to help users pause impulse purchases before buying. The App allows users to save item names, estimated prices, reasons for wanting an item, waiting periods, and later decisions such as whether to buy, skip, or find an alternative.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App on Android devices. The App is designed as a local-storage utility app. It does not require account creation, login, passwords, cloud sync, financial account connection, or payment processing.
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Advertising-related data may be collected or processed by Google and its advertising systems as described in this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
The App allows you to enter and save information related to purchase decisions, including:
- Item names
- Estimated prices
- Reasons for pausing a purchase
- Waiting periods or pause durations
- Purchase-decision status, such as bought, skipped, paused, or alternative found
- Local app preferences or settings, if available
This information is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a backend server that stores your purchase decisions, item entries, reasons, estimated prices, or waiting periods.
The App does not directly require or collect the following for its core functionality:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Account credentials
- Passwords
- Bank account information
- Credit card information
- Financial account data
- Camera data
- Microphone data
- Contacts
- Health data
- Public user-generated content
If you voluntarily contact us by email for support, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
3. Local Device Storage
The App stores purchase-decision information locally on your device to provide its core functionality. This allows the App to remember the items you paused, the estimated prices you entered, the reasons you saved, the waiting periods you selected, and your later decisions.
We do not directly access, view, upload, sell, or share the purchase-decision information stored locally on your device.
Local data may remain on your device until you delete it, clear the App’s data, reset the App, or uninstall the App. If your Android device settings, backup settings, or Google account settings copy app data to a device backup, that process is controlled by your device settings and platform provider, not by us.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
AdMob and Google’s advertising systems may collect, receive, or process certain information for advertising, fraud prevention, frequency capping, ad delivery, measurement, reporting, security, and related purposes. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Android or Google settings, this may include information such as:
- Device information
- Advertising identifiers or other mobile identifiers, where available and permitted
- IP address
- Approximate location inferred from IP address or device signals
- App information, such as app identifier, package name, and ad placement information
- Ad interactions, impressions, and performance information
- Diagnostic or technical information
- Consent choices and privacy preferences
The App may display personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your consent, Android device settings, Google advertising settings, regional requirements, and applicable law.
We do not directly receive your personal advertising identifier from AdMob. We may receive aggregated advertising reports, such as ad performance, impressions, and revenue information, but those reports are not designed to reveal your locally stored purchase-decision data.
In regions where consent is required, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App or Google’s consent tools may request consent for the use of cookies, mobile identifiers, local storage, personalized advertising, or related advertising purposes as required by applicable law and Google policies.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party service:
- Google AdMob: used to display advertisements. Google may collect and process advertising-related data according to Google’s privacy, advertising, consent, and data processing systems.
The App does not use custom analytics systems unless such functionality is part of Google AdMob’s advertising operations. We do not integrate financial account services, payment processors, cloud user accounts, or public content platforms for the App’s core purchase-pausing functionality.
Your interactions with advertisements may be subject to Google’s policies and the privacy policies of advertisers or other third parties involved in the advertising ecosystem.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your locally stored item names, estimated prices, reasons, waiting periods, or purchase decisions with advertisers, Google, or other third parties through our own backend systems.
Advertising-related data may be collected or processed by Google AdMob as described above. Google may use this information for ad delivery, personalization where permitted, measurement, fraud prevention, security, and related advertising purposes.
We may disclose information only if necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- Protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the App, or others
- Respond to support requests you voluntarily send to us
- Enforce this Policy or investigate misuse of the App
7. Data Retention
Locally stored purchase-decision data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App’s data, reset the App, or uninstall the App.
We do not maintain a server-side copy of your locally stored purchase-decision data.
If you contact us by email, we may retain your support message for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect our legitimate interests.
Advertising-related data collected or processed by Google AdMob is retained according to Google’s own policies and systems.
8. User Controls
You control the purchase-decision information stored in the App.
Depending on the App features available in your version, you may be able to:
- Edit or delete saved items
- Change waiting periods
- Update purchase-decision status
- Clear local app data
- Reset the App
- Uninstall the App to remove locally stored app data from your device
You may also manage privacy and advertising settings through Android settings, Google advertising settings, Google account settings, and regional consent controls where available.
Because the App does not create user accounts and does not store purchase-decision data on our servers, there is no server-side account deletion process for locally stored App data. To delete local data, use the App’s available controls, Android settings, or uninstall the App.
If you contact us about privacy rights, we will respond according to applicable law. Please understand that we cannot access or delete data that exists only locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 years old, or to children under the minimum age required by applicable law in their region.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own account systems or backend servers. The App does not require a child to create an account or submit personal information to use the core local-storage features.
Advertising shown through AdMob may be subject to Google’s child-safety and advertising policies where applicable. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email or support contact, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Security
We use a data-minimizing design by storing purchase-decision information locally on your device rather than on our own servers.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, including device passcodes, operating system updates, and backup settings.
Because your purchase-decision data is stored locally, anyone with access to your unlocked device may be able to view information saved in the App.
11. International Users
The App may be available to users in different countries. Advertising-related data processed by Google AdMob may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, subject to Google’s applicable data transfer mechanisms, policies, and legal obligations.
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other regions with privacy laws, advertising consent and privacy controls may be provided where legally required. The App is designed to limit our own collection of personal data by keeping purchase-decision data on your device.
Depending on the context, applicable legal bases for processing may include:
- Providing the App’s requested local functionality
- Your consent for personalized advertising or access to identifiers where required
- Legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, app operation, and non-personalized advertising where permitted

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, advertising services, legal requirements, platform requirements, or our privacy practices.
When we update this Policy, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes may be communicated through the App, the app listing, or the public privacy policy webpage where appropriate.
Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated Policy.
